Workamajig® is web-based. Are there other ways to access the system?

Yes. You can host the software on your server or Workamajig® can host it for you.

What is the recommended system configuration for servers for the installed version of Workamajig®?

A.Here is the minimum hardware configuration for the server:

  1. Pentium Core 2 Duo 2 GHz or higher processor
  2. 1 GB RAM or higher
  3. 80GB hard-drive or higher
  4. 100 Base-T Network Card
  5. Flux Capacitor*

B. Software requirements for the Workamajig server. These must be installed prior to the installation of the Workamajig server software:

  1. Internet Information Server must be installed on Windows R2 Standard Edition 2003 or 2008 server (32 or 64-bit mode). Workamajig requires IIS to run in 32-bit mode. Other 64-bit applications (like Exchange 2010) must run on a separate server from the Workamajig web-server.
  2. Install either 2008 SQL standard or express server. The free MS SQL Express 2008 and the related SQL server management tools can be downloaded from the following URL: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/product.
  3. Please provide Workamajig staff with the SA login and password for the SQL server. The db must be the owner of the database. As well as, rights to attach db in your preferred drive
  4. Please provide SMTP address and Login information for setting up Workamajig task manager and installer
  5. ASP.Net version 1.1 must be installed on the web server. You can download this from http://app.crmgr.com/dotnet.exe and http://app.crmgr.com/dotnet2.exe.
  6. IIS Installed without Static Compression enabled (2008 Server only).
  7. Indexing Service Role Installed. For 2008 Servers only, please refer tohttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/954822The MMC snap-in is not necessary.
  8. SQL Management tool needs to be installed (i.e. studio express.)
  9. SQL Reporting Services cannot be installed with Workamajig.
  10. Local Hosted servers must have a Public IP address with port 80 accessible from our server to maintain registration keys

    Maintenance of your server:

    Your IT staff will need to include the Workamajig data and application into your existing backup strategy. You will need to backup the SQL database for Workamajig and the Workamajig web application folder and files.

    Our technician will assist with the install of Workamajig and configure it to automatically download and apply future updates. If you wish to change these settings, you can run the WMJInstaller.exe application under the Workamajig - Task Manager folder. You will need to Stop the services first. Make and save your changes. Then, restart the Workamajig services for the changes to take affect.

* You don't really need a Flux Capacitor to use Workamajig®. Unless you're Doc Brown or Marty McFly. And if that's the case, feel free to bring the DeLorean by our headquarters in Arizona. Don't ask why, we just want to go back to 1987 for a bit.

How long does it take to implement Workamajig® once purchased?

The recommended implementation time is 2-3 months. This allows you to complete the basic training sessions, input your information, customize the system, test your workflow, deploy training and go live.

What type of training is offered with Workamajig®?

Training sessions are conducted over the phone using a browser-based session. They are divided into 5 one-hour sessions typically spaced at least 3-4 days apart. The remainder of your training time is used as you would like. Those remaining training hours do not expire. Most of our clients will use them as Q&A sessions or to review specific parts of the system that they will be utilizing heavily.

Workamajig® includes free remote training

  • A dedicated account manager/trainer is assigned to your account
  • Your trainer will manage your implementation and ongoing support for the life of your account
  • You select an internal team of people to become super users of the system and to manage the roll out of the system internally
  • Your trainer walks your team through a proven process to set up and configure Workamajig® for your specific needs

Is browser-based training the only option?

No, consultants are available for onsite training at an additional expense. They provide you with industry experience on how to set the system specifically for your needs. This option is useful for companies who prefer their training in a condensed timeframe and are able to learn at an accelerated rate.

Once the program is installed and working, what type of support is available to me?

Every Workamajig® account includes virturally unlimited email support. Additional phone support and training can be arranged, too.

Is Workamajig® available for birthdays?

Of course. But with the best balloon animal skills in the northern hemisphere, Workamajig® is booked every weekend through 2018. Sorry for the inconvenience.
